2010 SUMMER/FALL exposure
TRACEY MAURER
Tracey Maurer redefined home on the range as a visual feast for the new Don Strange cookbook. Famous for his down-home style and theatrical presentation, Don Strange entertained celebrities and local guests with unique dining experiences. Photo shoots were as dramatic and colorful as late Don Strange's bold personality, featuring Longhorn cattle and ranchhands among scenic backgrounds. An inviting atmosphere and delicious fare was captured in The Buckhorn Museum where Don Strange of Texas has the exclusive catering in the Tupperwein Room, the Don Strange Ranch, and Waring General Store. At the Don Strange Ranch, guests were treated to a real Texas BBQ complete with a side of beef over an open flame, Pan de Campo prepared on the spot with the tasty beef and other delectable dishes. Also served by the expert catering staff was Cafe Mystique, a chilled Coffee and liquor specialty of DS.
Don Strange passed away last November, so this cookbook is a fitting tribute to his innovative catering style and sought-after menus. Look forward to its publication in late November, 2010.

Tracey shed new light on lamb and healthy lamb recipes enticing to kids, for Tri-Lamb Group. She focused on busy families for JBar-B Sausage, with a new collection of easy to make heat and serve meals. Giving HEB a fresh look for their Own Brand design packaging, Tracey and team created irresistible just-picked shots of NatureSweet Tomatoes, including a new Sunburst yellow tomato.
Saluting soldiers of today and yesterday, Tracey was humbled to photograph museum artifacts from the Battle of the Alamo, carefully handling the historical weaponry with archival gloves. An invitation for the public to "cross the line" to become part of timeless ideals, this is first-ever public service campaign for The Alamo. Tracey Maurer's work for The Alamo was featured in Communications Arts.
CHIRS LOCKWOOD
Chris Lockwood was featured in the May 2010 AIGA/Houston Blog Spotlight. This year's MS-150 Bike Ride was especially emotional, as he had recently lost a close cousin, Tom, in an automobile accident. Memories flooding back, and the other riders in his group, as well as the huge support Chris received, was overwhelming. He raised over $1,700 to help fight Multiple Sclerosis, and expresses his sincere gratitude to all who donated.
TRICIA CRAMBLET
She's a cover girl: drawing in the reader with vivid imagery. Tricia Cramblet's most recent dramatic illustrative artworks are for Penguin Books. She created a striking cover for a vampire mystery and her attention to fine details brought out the cover of a historical novel. She is currently working on a project for another publisher, Kensington.
WOODY WELCH
On the road with Woody: he's going green in a new Prius purchased just in time for an August Photo Trek to Lewis Carnegie's Peaks Island get-away in Maine. Casting people in the community, Woody worked with Griffin Creative to produce a welcoming pictorial of the Crystal Falls community in Leander, Texas. Another exciting project in the works is a visual story of Amtrak travel in West Texas for Texas Coop Power Magazine, the largest circulation magazine in Texas, slated for fall publication. Woody is also continuing to work with Texas Oncology, featuring cancer survivors and a new clinic in Grapevine, Texas.
